NASC

Our membership with the National Animal Supplement Council is truly a badge of honor. If you would like to help support our efforts to improve the quality of industry products, purchase products from member companies that bear the NASC Seal. This consumer action can ensure that products with these high standards remain available within the industry.

Different from the NASC logo, the Seal is a privilege for members. It signifies that the company has undergone and successfully completed facility audits for specific quality control standards.

The Seal is a way for you to know that when you buy a product, you buy from a reputable manufacturer that complies with third-party quality and regulatory standards.

We're proud to say that FoodScience Corporation was one of the first companies permitted to use the NASC Seal.

Companies that receive this permission have to demonstrate compliance with the following criteria:

  1. The company must have a Quality Manual in place that provides written Standard Operating Procedures for production process control.
  2. The company must have an Adverse Event Reporting/Complaint System in place to continually monitor and evaluate products.
  3. They must follow proper label guidelines for all products.
  4. The company must include any specific warning and cautionary statements recommended by the Food & Drug Administration's Center for Veterinary Medicine and the NASC Scientific Advisory Committee.

Our dedication to these standards cannot be overstated. After all, we helped create them. Dr. Roger Kendall, Vice President of Research and Development, is a founding member of the National Animal Supplement Council, and the Chair of the NASC Scientific Advisory Committee.

The NASC is committed to helping the animal supplement industry remain a place of quality, standards and accountability. Please support these efforts by looking for the NASC Seal on products you purchase.
